What are you working on? One project, two or more?
Do you prefer cake or pie?
If you like cake, are you a cake or frosting person?
If you like pie what is your favorite?
Are you a morning person or a night owl?
Is it ok that your food touches on your plate?
I was watching my family and it is so interesting, some of share the exact same DNA and others only half and yet, at times, we can be so different and at other times be so similar.
As for me I have quilt and garment projects in various states of completion. I am absolutely a pie and cake person. I am not a fan of frosting. The only frosting I really like is on a cake that I used to pick up for my birthday. The store is located in Los Altos, California...too far! I stay up way too late and love to sleep in. And I love casseroles and soup.
My motivation for everything I do and enjoy is that I am very curious. I like to know how things work. I love factories and have toured the Hershey factory in California many times. This is what has brought me to this place in my cooking, baking, quilting, and sewing. I see something and think 'Can I make that?'.
So with all this being said, I saw a picture of a tart or pie in the magazine Hana Hou that I simply would love to make then eat. I became a mango lover on a trip to Puerto Rico about 12 years ago.

So I see sliced mango, chopped mac nuts and a drizzle of chocolate all tucked into a tart shell. I I imagine that that there is some sort of glaze on the mangos. What I cannot see is if there is a layer of something under the mangos.
Yummy ~ If I figure it out I will certainly share the recipe and process
