gardening ~ day 3

With the help of 3 darling daughters the garden area went from this, yesterday...



to this!

 

I am so excited. This area is about 40 X 10. It was planted with the intention of being our little piece of Kauai. We had planted hibiscus & bamboo, all varieties, with the hopes that the plants would take over this strip of land. Well the rains followed by a long cold snap killed all the plants and half of our lawn. They were trying to recover.

 So plan 'B' ~ I am thinking lavender, herbs and maybe a couple of melons.

First a rototiller, amendments and some good old fashion elbow grease.

 Feels good to be out in the garden again
