sad faces ~

It is now time to pack our bags and head back to the mainland.

This was probably our most relaxing time here on the island. We took each day as it came and have many memories. We will probably move a little slower as we return to our normal activities, trying to hold on to the lifestyle here in Kauai.
Mahalo for joining me on our adventures

Hau`oli la Hanau

Pancakes for breakfast at Hanalei Wake Up Cafe, sandwiches from the local deli, swimming snorkeling and sun bathing at Lumaha'i Beach... home for some rest then... getting cleaned up for dinner at Makana Terrace at the St Regis for the "best mac & cheese in the world"....A nine year-olds perfect day!

It was a nice day filled with adventures with geckos, laughs and dessert with a beautiful  sunset.

sunset from Princeville

Out of nowhere came a light, floating above the waters over Hanalei Bay. As we watched it travel we realized that it was a paper lantern. It disappeared towards the sun. We waited for others after hearing that a group of people set them off most evenings from the pier. It was the only one for the evening. There must be a story behind this. It will remain a mystery to us ~

Hope you have an Aloha day
