caution...9 year old sewing ~

From the book , Sunday Morning Quilts, darling daughter #4 has decided to stitch up the quilt Scrapper's Delight. I thought that this would be a good first project because it is not so important to have a perfect seam allowance. We lay out the fabrics in the color order that appeals to her, iron each strip and on her cute Hello Kitty sewing machine she stitches away. Fatigue was setting in. We soon realized that the reason it was taking so long to reach the 12-1/2" square size was because of the widths of the strips. We began using wider fabric strips and were done in no time.

Our goal is to make one a day while she is on Easter Break.
