Granola from start to finish

We have purchased many different store bought granolas and have not enjoyed the taste. I was inspired by a recipe I found on one of the many blogs I follow for inspiration. Next I searched the internet for recipes to see what others had done and the combinations of ingredients and techniques. The result is a yummy crunchy granola that my family asks me to make. I mix the dry ingredients first, oats, pastry flour, salt. Chopped nuts and whole sunflower seeds are mixed in to receive a coating of flour. I then pour the liquid mixture in and gently stir.

It looks like a wet loose oatmeal cookie dough.

Out of the oven, lighty brown. Oven @ 300, stiring every 10-15 minutes till golden brown. As it cools it will get crunchy.....

Combination of raisins, dried cherries, chopped apricots and dried blueberries added while hot out of the oven. We sprinkle this on top of yogurt or enjoy with milk. I like it by the handful. I send this to my darling daughter #1, who lives on the East Coast. I need to start making double batches.

I am inspired by the internet and all those who share their ideas. For me, the internet is a big, interactive dictionary including endless descriptions, pictures, ideas and each with a different definition. It is fun to play.

Thanks to all who share
Enjoy and have a great day!
